Then Jesus replied, "Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!"
What a word by Jesus to his disciples. How could it be that even with Jesus and his group of followers there was one that had demonic forces at play? Can you imagine Jesus looking at Judas and saying in His mind, "...you poor soul, if you only knew your condition is clearly visible to me and I know what your doing and what you are planning to do..."
Why didn't Jesus kick Judas out of the group? Why didn't he just say, "devil get away from me!" Like he did with Peter?
Oh my dear youth it is with pain that I tell you that the devil is at play even in the finest group of young men and woman of God I've ever met. But, just like Judas and the devil couldn't detain nor hinder the mission Jesus came to accomplish he will not be able to hinder ours.
OPEN YOUR EYES AROUND YOU! THERE IS A DEVIL WAITING TO PLOT ON YOU AND TAKE YOU OUT OF WHAT GOD IS DOING. REBUKE A BROTHER OR SISTER WITH MEEKNESS AND HUMBLENESS SO HE MAY REPENT AND DON'T PARTICIPATE WITH THE DEEDS OF DARKNESS...
Amen the devil may try and try again to stop what God wants but he always only makes God's victory greater
ReplyDeleteThese Are Some powerful words. Thank God. This penetrated my heart and brought me back to realization. You might ask, Why did Jesus even bother calling Judas if he knew he was a Devil..? Jesus has called everyone and no ones life is called for destruction. Judas had the free will, a choice, jus like Adam and Eve. Because of his choice he was casted out. Judas didn't have to make that choice, but Jesus already knew the heart. This opened my eyes. Glory to God!

Always remember that even if you know your brother/sister's condition, keep them in prayer and ask God to have mercy, for Him to do a work in them so that they may come to repentance and walk right. There's no need to gossip, step on them, or put them down, because that's not what we're here for. HOWEVER, if they are doing something that you know is not godly, let them know in a good Christian way, and keep your distance! And if they continue to do what they're doing and act like God isn't watching, He will humble them in public. I've seen it happen dozens of times, and from personal experience the Lord still does this so that we may recognize that GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED! Praise God

But He Was not For them! Halleluyah! You see, who you are in front of people gives testimony of who you are! But character is who you are when nobody's lookin! Alaba!!!

ReplyDeleteYes yes, The book of Psalms chapter 1 says: "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers." You see Joey, I think we've all heard this before, also in the New Testament the Word says to not be unequally yoked with nonbelievers, meaning do not share time with those who do not believe in Christ, this is why we aren't supposed to go to parties, chill n bug out with ppl who aren't Christian, or just waste time doing things we know we're not supposed to in the midst of those who do not walk according to God's Word!
But read Psalms 1 again, this blew my mind when I heard it. Ok, ok:
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. Blessed is he who does not walk according to the things of the flesh, according to the things of the world, according to those people that walk according to whatever they think is "right", which is opposite of what is truly right, making that walk disobedience!
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
This is what gets me. Lets use the verse and paint a literal picture in our minds. This person went from walking, to standing, to sitting. This happens so many times to people that know God, people that walk according to His will, and that are walking in obedience. See, they start out okay, but if they're not careful, they end up falling into sin. Look, they were walking along *whistling a tune* then all of a sudden, wicked counsel came along and it caught their attention. Now they are no longer walking, but they are STANDING in the way of sinners, in other words, standing in the midst of sin. It is capturing their attention little by little, and it all started with a simple word of false counsel. Then before they know it, they are sitting there, completely engulfed in the ways of sin. People don't fall overnight, it happens slowly, little by little. People never crumble in a day! Its a process and the enemy is very skillful in the way he does things. And since it all happens slowly, every moment is being rationalized, carefully thought of and considered in our hearts and minds, so when the time comes to make a decision, our minds have been so saturated with the thought of doing the wrong thing, that we are unable to make a godly decision because we've strayed away little by little!
Hmmm!! Don't let what you think be bigger than what GOD SAYS BECAUSE WHO ARE YOU TO KNOW BETTER THAN YOUR CREATOR?!?! OH, BECAUSE GOD TOLD JOB SOMETHIN' AND IT WENT LIKE THIS:
"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand."
(JOB 38:4)

Judas is referred to as an example that a believer who has trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior can still lose his salvation. John 17:12, "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled." John 6:64-71 "64. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. 66. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71. He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. You see! You need to believe! Judas Didnt Believe so he didnt accept the calling!! Oh! Halleluyah! He Betrayed the Calling! The fact that Jesus called Judas "a devil" is further proof that Judas was not saved. Cuz If Judas was really saved he wouldn't of betrayed Jesus! You might say, "gee Ronald, How can you prove this....??? I believe Judas Was saved." Well i tell you, NO! Thats right, NO! John 1:12-13 Says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." If Judas had received Jesus Christ as His personal Savior, he would have been a son of God, not a devil. ALABA!!! Well you might want more proof, OKAY then. Later on Jesus went about Telling Peter and the Disciples this, John 13:10, Jesus says to Peter's request that Jesus wash not his feet only, but also his hands and head, "He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all." ReplyDeletethe devil will rise against you no matter what not because he wants to do anything productive with you but he wants to break that relationship that you have with God but he doesn't know that the relationship you have with God is going to last longer than he will last.
