The importance of prayer... (part 1)

As I sit here at tech doing nothing and thinking about what to put on this blog so all of you won't lynch me I realized that maybe I should do a series on the importance of prayer.

So ask yourself "Why is prayer so important?"

WELL IN MY OPINION I THINK PRAYER IS
IMPORTANT BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY WAY WE HAVE TO SPEAK TO GOD AND A WAY TO GET TO KNOW OUR CREATOR MORE AND MORE AS OUR PRAYER LIFE AND OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM GROWS.

SINCE IM NOT REALLY AND EXPLAINING PERSON THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY LOL GB EVERYYONE =]

  2. prayer is important because it is communication with God .. How can you have a relationship with someone and not speak to them?.. it would be pointless to call your self christian if you dont talk to God.. its by praying that you form a bond with Him so that you can understand Him and what He wants for your life.. i would say alot more but i dont wanna start my own blog lol =)... but yes prayer is important for many many reasons.. God bless everyone..

  3. ok on second thought i wanna say a lil more lol.. prayer is one of the main things that will give you strength in this path .. God will break you down and teach you right from wrong.. prayer has power to open the heavens.. thanks to Jesus.. prayer can change your life and character this is of course if prayer hasn't become a boring routine in your life.. its opening up to God from the HEART.. when doing so it helps you realize who you are in front of God's presence.. and that without Him you are nothing.. but thank God for His love and mercy =)

  7. Hey. God bless all!! Prayer (wait til you finish reading the sentence before getting all crazy) should not be defined as "talking to God". No. Prayer should be defined as having a conversation with God!! God bless you all!!

  9. I thought this was interesting:

"the word prayer or praarthanaa (in Sanskrit) is derived from two words 'pra' and 'artha' meaning pleading fervently. In other words, it is asking God for something with intense yearning."

There's different types of prayers, but we can never have a true prayer unless God is in the picture.
